NY Choosing A Engine Control Module

I have been going back and forth trying to choose another engine control module for my project. i purchased an Aem-Ems Version 1 a few years ago when they we still being supported Aem tech support. Now I'm at an impasse on whether i should work with my Engine builder who suggest i purchase a Haltech ps1000 or if i should believe the hype on Adaptronic Unit or try my hand with the Aem to get me started. I like the ease of install of Adaptronic Ecm because it uses the factory harness like the Aem. But concerns about the factory harness crystalizing and being unrelable have made consider using a Rywire Harness or Just pulling the trigger on the Haltech and hope i can get the wiring as nice as the guys at Rywire. I just need some input on the install of the Haltech with the harness.

Haltech also offers plug & play patch harnesses to drop in a PS1K in your FD. But since it IS going in a FD, building a fresh harness is a wise choice as you can mix & match everything instead of being limited to only the stock configuration.

Which EMS are you and your tuner most familiar and comfortable with? Haltech's ECU Manager isn't too hard to get the hang of if you're halfway intelligent (IE not the stereotypical honda boi )

My builder and tuner have experience with arm and haltech. He has a class to take on the new haltech software and the elite Ecus.

I called Ludwig and I'm just waiting for a response back.

I was on the dyno all day yesterday. I'll give you a call Monday.

We have a couple guys running the 2500 with good luck. 1500 would be the same box with less I/O.

I'm running a 3rd gen and only planning on keeping it a 2 rotor will the 1500 be sufficient?

It'll run the engine just fine. How many extra sensors do you want to incorporate? The auxiliary inputs are what you'll eat up most quickly.

Actually, not sure why I even said that. The 1500 has the same number of inputs, analog and digital, as the 2500. It just has fewer outputs. Outputs usually aren't a problem with this car, unless you're doing something way over the top. The number of inputs on both ECUs gets tight if you want to use DBW, as that alone eats up 4 analog inputs. Doing traction control properly would also eat up 4 digital inputs for wheelspeed and an analog input for either a yaw or lateral G sensor.
