i just installed an e6k in my 87.
right before i was going to load up the software and try to get the car running my laptop died.
so what i need is someone to bring a computer, load up a base map and help out with some basic tuning just to get the car rollin well enough to limp it down to the dyno.
i'm in so. cal so if anyone can come help out i'll pay.

SoCal is a mighty big place. where exactly are you located and how much is this job paying? or bring your ECU by my shop and I'll load what ever map you have onto it for free. I am located in North Hollywood.

I'll be at my shop tomorrow night and probably wednesday for a few hous after 5pm. weekend I am out of town. you can try me during the day. I left you a voice mail at the number listed.
no doubt.
you mentioned you had a shop... do you have a dyno there or maybe reasonably priced access to one?
aside from the trailing coils being disconnected, it's actually running reasonably well. i just want to get ia wideband on it and make sure i'm not running lean.

I don't have a dyno nor do I have a good contact. for some reason every shop I have used either closes down or won't work on certain cars. I have done all of my tuning myself and eliminated the dyno. My shop is not an automotive repair place. it is a type of cooperative deal with several racers, only race cars.
not ever had any issues with the trailing ignition(and I have one of the first E6K ECU's). I am at my shop mostly on weekends. I am almost always there on sundays unless I am at the track. call me friday evening and we can get together and I'll show what I have done with my setup.
