Best place to buy Haltech boost controller

Were is the best place to buy a haltech boost controler? Price is my main concern, but fast shipping weighs in also.

Haltechparts.com, and staticXMotorsports has them for $89.06 USD, any better deals out there?

its a 22 dollar industrial control solenoid made by mac vales

here is where you get them: http://www.macvalves.com/distributors/usa.htm\

part number 35a-aaa-ddea-1ba is the same as the haltech branded boost control valve that I purchased with my E8, there are 2 other wattages available also, the lower wattage might be better for the ecu, I believe others have used the 5.4 watt valve.

I have a question, are the boost control whether it's form Haltech or mac valves, acurate or in other words.. any good? Would anyone rate it over a EBC from Greddy , HKS etc?

Always wondered about that.

All the solenoids are pretty much the same, it's the logic of the controller that sets them apart.

I know that AEM, and turbosmart use the *exact* same solenoid as the haltech for boost control.

The greddy solenoid has larger ports.....for ummmm, more, uhh air

As said, the logic control (gain settings etc) will make the control better and more accurate.

It is not very user friendly but it does work. I have been told that for it to work flawlessly a speed sensor MUST be used. It works good on my application without a VSS but i am either on or off the throttle

Temperature issue

So I was going to install as shown in the diagram below, but the box for the valve says the max temp is 40C, 104 F. Has any one had a problem with running higher temps? Should I just run my line after my intercooler?
