Know ignition facts, now looking for opinions

First off, death to anyone that starts the whole "stock coils are fine" or "go inductive" crap, I've searched, I know, and I don't care. Now that that's out of the way,

I currently am running stock tII coils front and back with a crane hi-6 driving the fronts. I read about how to switch to sequential ignition and that prompted the itch in my wallet for more crap, which led to me getting some lx-92 coils for cheap.

Here's my issue. I get everything on ebay/craigslist/used forum stuff. I'm going to run 4 lx-92s.

consider:
1) I have a hookup to get MSD DIS-4 AND/OR a DIS-2 for $100 a piece.
2) I'd like to, if it's worth it to eliminate all ignitors and change my haltech settings to signal the boxes to the coils directly.
3) I'm not spending $$$ on autronic/motec, I know they rock, but I can build my whole set up, coils, boxes and all for about $250.

now i could:

1) get another hi-6 for $50 or so and jimmy rig the stock ignitors to run all 4 crane coils. (haltech cannot directly fire the boxes unless they are on all 4 coils IIRC)
2) get another hi-6 and an MSD dis-x (2 hi-6's, one digital) to run ignitor-less. If I went this route should I put the MSD on fronts or rears? would you have any reservations about mixing crane and msd crap? I like crane better but their dis-2 almost doesn't exist, used.
3) sell the crane and buy 2 dis-x boxes. advantages to this? I could sell my crane for 50-80 and buy both dis boxes for 200 total. any reservations about mixing a dis4 and a dis 2?

I realize that "boxing" the trailings isn't really worth the effort, but I'd like to do away with ignitors and it's either that or figuring a way to fire the lx-92's. what option do you like? thanks.
