no.. but you can now from the hitmans site!!!!!!

http://www.hitman.hm/e6k634u.zip

note, you need a wideband with a LINEAR five volt output that can be adjusted for 10 to 20 A/F to get it to work correctly

I have an Autronic Wideband...... Dunno how Techedge works... but heres what i did for the autronic...

The haltech can only display 10%-20%,,, I set the 5V out on the autronic to only display 10-20% aF and it worked like a charm..

I don't think it matters what Wideband you are using with the e6kU.. but it DOES matter that the 5 volt output is linear... IE... if you plot the voltage outputs for KNOWN A/F's, they shoud for a straight line on the graph when the points are connected......

Ok for the techedge site.....

Tech edge says that V-out from pin 7 on the db-9 connector is 2.5V at stoich...... I Don't think thats correct for what e6kU needs to compute the A/F correctly.

I don't have the original chart I was converting voltages to A/F's for the Autronic before i got the e6ku working... BUT, what you can do is take the O2 sensor out of the car... Hook the Techedge pin 7 up to the spare A/D in on the haltech and set the options for Uego.... then hit the sensor with a propane torch..... it should read 14.7 on both the tech edge and the haltech laptop display,.... if it doesn't, we will have to figure out how to transpose the voltage so that it reads correctly, but there will be a percentage of error as you get away from 14.7 depending on how we do it......

Lemme Play around with the laptop tonight and see if i can figure out some known voltages from the Autronic and what they correspond to on the E6kU program and then I'll be able to see whats what with the correlation....

Ok, pardon my ignorance, but what on earth is the U version? there is the regular 6.34 version and the "compaq" version, the "compaq" version was baptized by haltech because these where the first PC's/Laptops that Haltech discovered the garbage text like display with the DOS software (i know i first saw it in 2 compaqs as well), it was determined that newer PCs/Laptops had "removed graphical support when you used DOS" so they rewrote the code so the apps would work and look right.

Now, im curious, i opened up this "u" version, and it looks like the regular 6.34v, what is special about it?

The "u" version just has support for wide-band input...

The E6S and E6K could both read from a 0-5v signal through the O2 sensor input as well as through the SpareA/D, although the S didnt have the O2 sensor option in the list for the SpareA/D, if you left the input as General, it would read 0-5v straight. But, the closed loop in both these ECU's doesnt work with wideband sensors, you cant input a higher than 1000mV, neither does this "U" version. If you want to run closed loop you have to feed the 0-1v signal most WB controllers can output.

Can anybody explain to me what its so special about it?

The U will display the actual A/F ratio like the E6X does instead of just giving you a voltage that you have to decipher.

Hmmm... Strange that a revision like that wouldn't merrit a version number change. Thanks for the info.

Its not an actual revision... somebody leaked it from Haltech back in the day... IE... were're not supposed to have it!!!!!!!! It was a beta test version, and, Haltech does not support it!!!

So... In answer to your wanting it for the compaq.. the only way thats going to happed is if someone does it on their own!!!! I don't see that happening...

My suggestion is to get a $50 IBM thinkpad 133 like i did!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder what else Haltech has sitting around.

We need to send a hot girl over there to bat some eyelashes and get some good stuff for the K

Yeah, there's no closed-loop function on it.

I think the Haltech could do direct output from an M&W (?) wide-band from input VDC signal to AFR.
Although it can take any 5VDC wide-band input, you'd need to do a computation to figure out AFR.
The "u" version did this automatically for just that one brand of wide-band input.
