Question AIT sensor placement?

I currently have my air intake temp sensor mounted in the stock FD UIM location.

Is there a better place for it?
Just seems like the AIT sensor gets heat soaked sitting under the FD UIM.
Like maybe in the intake elbow? or outlet side of the intercooler?

It will heatsoak there something awful. The intake elbow works better but you may still see some heatsoak with all that aluminum mass there. Intake pipe is a good spot IMO.

^thanks for the input.

I'm going to look at relocating it to somewhere in the intake pipe after the intercooler.
Thanks, Steve
