5bar MAP sacling issue. V1.89

Trying to help out a friend, having trouble getting the custom scaling to stick in the software.

I have checked 5BARMAP in the main setup menu, then proceed to the sensor calibration.

I input all the data, then it will say to retry calibration - must input all data or something. Sorry, thats a paraphrase but something along those lines.

Whats the deal captain tenneal?

ECU is an E8 sensor is an AEM 5 bar.

I had the same problem. I used an older version of the software and let it generate it's own numbers and then copied the info to 1.89. Hope that helps.

This is what i came up with but hopefully someone will chime in to verify

There is an issue with custom sensor calibrating where if you do it in PSI/Imperial mode it goes apeshit and looses the bottom X axis altogether. Also, the software needs the min and max points to be the same as the default scaling for that sensor, and to make it stick, you need to do it in metric mode, this would mean converting your PSI to Vout scale to KPA, i just use excel to do that, makes it faster. Excel is one bad *** calculator

Anyway, those are the work arounds:

1. Always input the values with the software in metric mode, so you'll need Kpa values
2. Always leave the first and last value the same as what the software expects
3. I think (but you're more than welcome to try) that when you apply it and the software asks if you'd like to use Haltech Default Load Points its better to say yes, but you can see if no makes it work too.

Once the calibration is done, you can then turn the software back to Imperial and it should be fine.

Got it to work with a combo of both your guys tips! Thanks boys.

Ended up having to do it in IMPERIAL mode. Don't ask me why, becuase I didn't write the software Would do the same message as before, even with the scaling allen has posted. Went to IMP mode, worked like a charm. I did click yes on use haltech default load points when it accepted the changes......so I don't know if no will work or not.

In Imperial mode if you try to do anything other than default load points it deletes the X axis. But if its working right, good deal. Keep an eye out on your gauge to see if the software readings match it.

I kept an eye on the x-axis to make sure it didn't go wandering off on me!

We'll have to verify the readings match the gauge though for sure. Thanks boys!

Well i see you use 3D for tuning then? the axis disappears in the 2D view. Which is what most people use.

Its got the most control options, in ECU Manager all that has been improved.

Well, I use 3D to get "the general picture" just helps me a bit in seeing the overall picture at the start, I just figured you meant the 3D map for some reason

But I checked the 2D one and it is there also

You might want to consider redistributing the load sites so that you have more resolution in the vacuum areas. Might make for better driveability.
