We won't be supplying calipers with the kit... you guys would be responsible for sourcing those.

Our track-day kit with Wilwood calipers may actually be a better setup for many people... I'll post info on that one later this week. We've got a lot of brake parts coming out for 2016

I was reading through the thread at work, reading a post here and a post there while avoiding my boss looking over my shoulder! Sorry, I assumed calipers were included based on the first post and the pictures.

If you aren't supplying the calipers, then would you mind sharing the info on those calipers on the first post? They look great and seem to be the right fit for our cars...

Thanks dude!

The street (Lexus) caliper is about the same weight as stock, and the 2 piece rotor is just a bit more than the stock one-piece rotor , so for no weight penalty you're getting an enormous increase in braking performance!!

The Wilwood caliper (our "Track Day" kit) weighs significantly less than stock! And by far less than other "Big Brake Kits" out there like Stoptech which essentially sell you boat anchors for calipers talk about unsprung weight!!

We'll have to split this into two separate threads, one for the Lexus caliper and one for the Wilwood (two different purposes really). Both will run the same discs (optional solid mount - more affordable - solid mount rotor, as well as the floating AP Racing disc.

But here's some info on the Wilwood setup (due for release shortly):

Here's a teaser pic of the ‪#‎SakeBombGarage‬ designed 'track-day' brake kit! A very affordable counterpart to our well renowned AP Competition brake kit. The Wilwood caliper version will offer similar specs at a fraction of the cost. While not quite as hardcore as our full AP Racing Competition brake kit, this setup blows away nearly everything else out there in its price class! Bang for buck these are the brakes to have!

-Compatible with the same 32mm thick AP Racing Full Floating disc from our competition kit (or a more cost effective solid mount disc)!
-Compatible with the same 20mm thick pads used in the AP Competition kit!
-Compatible with our Competition Rear Brake setup!

Our target price is well under $2k, and we'll be running a special one-time introductory sale shortly. Additional details and finalized pricing to come!

Thanks

It's the Sumitomo monoblock 4 pot. Sumitomo makes the stock FD brakes... Lexus just bought this particular caliper from them for use on the LS430. Mazdaspeed and TRD used the same calipers in performance brake kits.

We won't supply them, just the brackets and rotors... but they're quite cheap used. Refurbished they're very affordable, and even brand new from Lexus they're quite reasonably priced believe it or not!

Our Wilwood 'Track-Day' kit is insanely light. The Mazdaspeed Sumitomo calipers weight about the same as stock but are much larger. Our competition rears use the same caliper as stock with a relocation bracket and a *much* larger than stock 2 piece directional curved vane rear rotor. Competition Rear Brake System (FD3S RX-7) - SakeBomb Garage LLC

The Wilwood kit is currently in pre-order. We're waiting on components and production now Wilwood Track-Day Brake System (FD3S RX-7) - SakeBomb Garage LLC

We'll get a group buy thread up for them but the pre-sale pricing discount is the cheapest it will ever be! Bang for buck this is an amazing front kit and is compatible with our comp rears for a full 4 wheel solution

We'll get a thread up shortly, but for inquiries/info please contact us directly... info@sakebombgarage.com or post here

What's the size difference on the willwood calipers VS the Stoptechs? Popular fitment for Enkei RPF1's in the front is 17x9 +45, however it is not compatible with Stoptechs. Will this set up be compatible?

What are the piston sizes in the Wilwood kit? If stock ABS and proportioning valve are kept, how does the balance change compared to stock fronts? Are the rotor hats the same as in your AP kit?

I can't say as we don't have those wheels here. We'll have a wheel clearance template for you guys to print/test soon. It's pretty similar to our AP Kit

The Lexus based street caliper setup is on the fence due to low interest in it. Essentially we need 15 people minimum to make this happen... so far we've got just a few people who've said they want this kit. They fit under stock 16" OEM wheels which is a plus. Add your name to a GB list for the Mazdaspeed Caliper kit below... we'll split these two threads shortly as the Wilwood Track-Day kit, and the Street/Mazdaspeed/Lexus kits are pretty different (though similar).

There are two options for piston sizes, one that works with stock rears and one that runs larger piston sizes to be compatible with our competition rear brake kit! The larger piston size version is essentially the same as the AP Racing Caliper

The rotor hats are identical to our AP Kit! This means you can upgrade to AP floating rotors at any time (the same rotors as in our AP kit). The only difference between the Wilwood Track-Day Kit and the AP Competition Brake kit is only the calipers and brackets

I posted in error that I'm interested in the Wilwood Track-Day brake kit. I'm only interested in the Street/Mazdaspeed/Lexus Brake Kit. My humble apologies.
