Spalato. Thanks for the post on my other thread. This in certainly of interest. Not sure if you spotted but I am in the UK and would be in need of a RHD rack. Where did you get to on that? I would want a confirmed cost? UK shipping costs? etc
I gather they will supply the raw rack and we will need our own tie rods and boots?
Lastly other than the rod ends and boots I assume this is to be a direct bolt in replacement for the stock power rack.

Certainly something I could go for as I am on the verge of converting mine now!
I will keep watch on this thread.

Lee, Quaife received both the LHD and RHD rack. There is some payment and logistics issues. Not sure how easy it is for them to break the order up. If there was more interest in the UK maybe there could be a UK specific GB. I started a thread on the FD:UK forums but not many people seem interested, at least not enough to start a GB. I can ask Ben if they can ship a rack specifically to you in the UK.

Yeah we need to use our existing rods and boots. It would be a direct bolt-in. It is still unknown if they can reuse our existing rack housings (manufacture the rack and pinion only) or if they will also have to manufacture a custom rack housing.

We will get more info soon.

Guys it would be good to know exactly how many LHD and RHD racks we need in the GB. And it would also be more simple to have Quaife manufacture the racks with the coarse thread pitch for the tie rods, as those are commonly available, as opposed to the finer thread.

Thanks for the feedback. I could probably arrange collection. Although I doubt shipping inside the UK would be expensive. I am surprised there were not more takers in the UK. To be honest there are not that many people doing conversions here that have the need for a manual rack. Keep us posted!

I sent them an e-mail. I'll see what they say and I'll let you know. I'll ask about collection as well. However considering there are not as many RHD units planned for the GB don't know if the price will be the same. I'll keep you posted.

The info is in the first post by 0piston.

The price depends on whether Quaife can reuse our stock rack housings or not. If not, along with the rack and pinion they will also have to make a custom housing.

We should find out soon.
