Hey just a little update! First off thank you everyone who purchased a map lid! We got wayyyyyy more orders than I anticipated so I've been super backed up. The first wave of lids should be going out Friday and the remainder will go out next week. Thank you all for your support and patience!

I hadn't realized until the other week after seeing a picture you posted that you spray paint the 93 lids with paint. Correct?
You may want to look into curing with infrared lamps or a 2 part paint.
Spraymax makes a 2k satin black hot rod paint in a spray can that works great and would give a similar finish.

You can see below the paint maybe is not fully cured or/and in combination with the summer heat in my mailbox caused the paint to flatten against the plastic packaging.
This is no big deal for me as i am going to refinish all my plastics anyway.

 

mine came in today and did not do as well as the guy above. I was not planning to refinish this....

Hey everyone, first off I am very sorry and want to apologize for the inconvenience I may have caused. As stated above I think I may have packaged them prematurely. I'm not exactly sure how this happened as I've been refinishing the map lids the same way for almost 5 years. Either way I'm taking full liability and I'll be doing a recall with 3 options:
1: We can refund you $15 and you can repaint it. We use SEM Landau Black paint: 2: You can send us back the lid (Must ship USPS priority mail flat box-small) and we will repaint it for you and reimburse you the shipping fee.
3: You can return it for a full refund

I hope one of these solutions will be to your satisfaction. Please E-mail me with your Order number, attached photo, and which option you would like to proceed with and I will process it immediately. Is this paint issue only on the latest GB ? Or the GB before this one haves the same issue . mine is still inside the box wrapped up from the first V4 batch

 

I think you'll have to open it and look, Kensin. I ordered from this most recent group buy, received mine a couple days ago, and it's in perfect condition. So not all from the most recent group buy suffered this defect.

 

I just opened mine and it has a couple bubble marks on it but not a big deal (Its just to easy a fix to worry about). Thanks Bubble Tech for cranking these out and then offering up a fix.
