Good info there. This makes it super easy to plumb a catch can and the internal baffle is designed to prevent oil from working its way up the neck under hard cornering.

Ok here is the deal. I need to pay for a run of 25 to make this happen. They will all be -10. It is too expensive to make both styles for this small of a run. If I can get 15-20 people committed I will front the difference. Final pricing is $225 plus $19 shipping in the USA. That would need to be paid up front. 6-8 weeks production time.

 

As a relative newb to FD ownership, what is the benefit of upgrading to this on a stockish FD?

 

You can read up a few posts about the benefits on a track car. On a stock car the stupid Mazda pcv system dumps oil right into the primary turbo inlet. This coats the inside of the intercooler piping, the intercooler core, and intake tract with oil, reducing cooling efficiency and lowering the detonation threshhold. The neck allows a convenient way to plumb a catch can. The integrated baffle further reduces oil working its way up the neck under hard cornering. Plus the stock neck is cheap plastic. This one looks like a show piece.
