Is there a problem with being able to offer a choice of tips even after the initial run? At least for my part, if i am spending 1500 on a catback, i would not expect it to be stocked, but i would expect some options on finish and style
Your welder could stock the muffler part, and then when the order is placed, weld on the requested style of tip?

You have probably thought of this already, but in the offchance that you have not, at least its out there

That's not unreasonable. We just always like having stuff either on the shelf or ready to go whiten a few weeks.

Keep in mind, you're also getting a bespoke exhaust (choice of diameter, choice of tip, etc) for less than the price of an off the shelf exhaust (Knightsport, GReddy, etc) that's basically a "take it or leave it" design.

Ok guys!

I believe we are ready to move into the next phase of production.

The question is WHO IS STILL IN?

Since these exhausts are basically custom made at this point thanks to the piping and tip options, we'll have to arrange pre-orders so we can get everything built to spec.

Since I know the next two questions are "Well, how much?" and "How long?"... I'll try to answer those right now along with a couple others.

1) How Much?
$1500 for 3.0in versions - regardless of tip style.
$1650 for 3.5in versions - regardless of tip style.
$1800 for 4.0in versions - regardless of tip style. One note on 4.0in - we are NOT able to offer the inner/outer Dolphin Tip like the 3.0in/3.5in versions. Only a single 120mm (4.7in) Dolphin Tip OR one of the other options below.

2) How Long?
About 90 Days from now - give or take.
We already have center pipe sections and tips in production. We're trying to bank those now so we only have to weld on tips to finish orders.

3) So wait, what are the options again?
Piping - 3.0in, 3.5in or 4in
Tip Style - Dolphin Single, Dolphin Dual, Slash/Angle Cut Single, Slash/Angle Cut Dual. If you select a dual tip, the muffler section will split to a true dual.
Tip Finish - Matte, Polished or Burnt. This basically applies to the Tip itself, not the entire muffler/piping.

We'll ask for a non-refundable 50% deposit up front to get your order locked in and sent off to production... then the other 50% (plus shipping, TBD) when it's actually shipping.

We'll also try to brainstorm a fun little perk to include with our pre-orders.

Nope.

I allude to it towards the end, but basically it would be 50% deposit up front. Then 50%, plus shipping, when it actually ships.

Shipping I would expect to be in the $50-$60 range out to California. But that's just a guess.

We're also gonig to test on a single turbo / straight exhaust car and we'll do out best to employ that testing method.
Any chance you could post sound measurements #'s using the SAE J1492 process? iPhone sound measurement, phone held at at 45deg angle, 1/2 rated speed, etc. California is very strict on sound levels...

2) We will offer a twin tip version of the exhaust, which will be a true twin tube design on the muffler section. Basically, the front pipe will be the same for single or dual, and the muffler pipe will change based on single or dual exit.
Will the dual tip design also have the slip-fit? Doesn't really look like room for both, since the y-pipe is right where the slip-fit would be.
I might be interested in a 3" dual-tip. Was planning to have something custom made, but this looks nice. What size are the tips on the dual-tip?

Hey there!

YES! The dual will also have a slip fit immediately before the transition. Check this out to get an idea:

We are also hot n heavy into production right now, the plan is to get a number of front pipes done, a bunch of muffler done, and then start collecting deposits and welding on tip. I know I owe you guys pics of each tip configuration, I promise they're coming.

So if you're still "in" - I'd love to know.

Not only that, it sounds FANTASTIC!

SOUND

At idle, it's a smooth 75.4db at WOT, we're cracking 97.7db. But no drone or snap, crackle 'n pop.

These were both taken with a GReddy DP and OEM cat with a set of twins. Single turbo and full exhaust sound clips are on the way!

CHANGES / NOTES

Moving forward, there are going to be a couple design changes.

1) We ARE going with a two piece design. The connection will be slip-fit with springs for added security right at the straight section coming off the muffler. There's a few reasons for it. Logistics and streamlined production being the primary driving factors.

2) We will offer a twin tip version of the exhaust, which will be a true twin tube design on the muffler section. Basically, the front pipe will be the same for single or dual, and the muffler pipe will change based on single or dual exit.

3) We will offer your choice of tip on this initial run. Single Dolphin is the prototype, but Dual Dolphin will be an option along with single and dual slash cuts. DM custom requests.

4) We are sticking with 76mm (3.0in) and 90mm (3.5in) as our product moving forward. BUT we've had interest in a 103mm (4.0in) version from a few people. On this initial run, we'll entertain those, but no plans to stock them in the future.

ETA
Now that we've verified what we need to verify, we are going to start production. ETA is going to be April/May and we'll start collecting deposits on pre-orders here soon. So if you're REALLY interested and want to get in on this, start thinking about what you want and get those tax return checks lined up.
Sounds wonderful! Are there drive by audios with the exhaust on? I was wondering how loud it sounds from distance

What was recorded was shared. We added the most recent video with the proper distance as requested. We can try to take some more videos, but it all sounds pretty good.

FINALLY!!!

Well, kinda.

I have the first batch of exhausts ready to go. This first run will be 3inch versions, the majority of which are Single Dolphin, but can also have Single Slash Cut. I also have a 3inch Dual Slash Cut available.

If you are ready to pull the trigger - PLEASE PM ME!

I will be adding these to the site shortly!

It's yours! Check your PM box!

For the rest of you, we have a handful of 3 inch single dolphin tails and a few single slash cuts.

Just listed them on the website - so have at it!
