NY "rotary resurrection"

Hi all. My name is Mike, live in Buffalo NY, I bought an 88 se 2+2 non turbo 5 speed in late 07. the car had 175,000 miles on it, so I heard about this site, used a lot of good info, got a few laughs @ the same time. All the time on here I was looking 4 a builder, i never posted anything. I blew my engine on Memorial day, this was after breaking my toe the same morning. I am glad I did my homework, as i had found my future builder a year or so ago. Kevin, owner of "rotary resurrection" had been kind enough to answer a lot of my questions, about how to navigate my way around the internet to find parts etc. I shipped my engine to him, told him what i could afford. he went above & beyond my expectations. i took his advice, better housings, rebuilt fuel injectors, re-grounding. the total turn around time was 2 weeks, Kevin handled the bills of lading , pick up & re-deliver the engine. The job came in on budget. i am a 59 year old Vietnam vet, as honest as the day is long. I don't work 4 this man. I hope this post will help someone. Quality & trust = Kevin landers. I put the car away 4 winter today. I would have played Taps, but the Japs sucker punched us 12/7 : - )

This is the first time I have responded to a thread, hope it goes where intended. If I hear a knock @ the door later, & a pretty little hooker shows up Thanks. I have never dealt with anyone like Kevin before. Man , he is 100% professional. Has no time 4 bullshit. Get the engine, Tear it apart, sends large pictures of what went wrong, offers 3 options, great, Even better, Runs better than brand new. I chose 3. ten days later this engine was put back into my car by a 70 year old race car builder, hates Japs, Germans has built cars 4 many big name people, won the Canadian nationals all through his 30's & 40's. He is a grumpy tough old man. He was blown away by Kevin. Nuff SAID.........Mike Buffalo NY

He really is a good man, & I am glad I found him on this site. If there is a better engine builder than Kevin, I will never have the opportunity to meet Him. I am 59, this engine will last the rest of my life. I can now get 25 mpg highway, 18 around town. I was getting 12/14 all around before the rebuild. kevin had all my fuel injectors rebuilt by a company For $100 or so. He is going to get so busy in March that anyone who needs an engine better hurry & get an appointment. U will be glad U did. Mike Buffalo NY

rotaryflier,

Do you have a basis for your complaint, or are you just spouting out baseless insults? Kevin is one of those people that says what's on his mind. He doesn't sugar coat things, and he certainly doesn't have time for countless emails, etc. If you need his help, tell him what you need and he'll get it done. Period.

As for him being overpriced, that's ridiculous. His parts prices aren't lowballer specials, but they are priced fairly. Look on ebay for his parts. Definitely not ripping anyone off. Kevin has always prided himself on doing high high quality rebuilds on a budget. If you want extra bells and whistles, you can have them at the additional cost of parts and labor. He's not going to do a build for you for a case of beer and pretzels, though.

Seriously, if you have a complaint, please explain. Otherwise, your mud slinging is missing the target.

thought I summed it up pretty well!..Im the one that has no time for countless emails from a jerk with a bad attitude that thinks his buyers owe him some gratitude instead of the other way around. Personally If a seller of a good or product isnt willing to listen to his customers before he spouts off with his ridiculous attitude and pre-emptive negativity, then he doesnt deserve my business. And never in my life have I had somebody meet these criteria better than this guy does. But as the commercial says...dont take my word for it!

I had my engine built by Rotary Resurrection years ago. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the service and finished product. This engine is super strong.

The Rotary Resurrection website is a very helpful tool that I frequently refer others to. Kevin has done a hell of a job for the rotary community.

Kevin landers " Rotary Resurection "

After i had mine re-built , I followed Kevin's break-in procedure to the T.I have about 4000 miles on it, & with the easy winter we have had, been able to drive it some. This car never started below 30 degrees, It fires right up, 3000 Rpm, 10 seconds later idles smooth @ 1500. I bought a complete rear sub-frame ( the front suspension is new ) from kevin, this will finish this car. I can't wait for Spring. This little car will run like new, no turbo needed ( for me ). Time to take it on a roadtrip. Thanks again Kevin......Mike Buffalo NY

I bought a used Camden from Kevin which he had listed on ebay. He knows little about them and was honest with every detail. I got a great deal, resealed and reclearanced everything and sat on it in my inventory for years and sold it to a friend.

Good guy in my books, shipping was very prompt and packaging was great as well.

Kevin Landers is awesome

I got a S4 bin frame and S5 carpet from other sources and it left a gap on either side of my S4. Asked Kevin's opinion on it and he concluded that if the carpet matched the frame as well as it did (fits it perfectly in every way), the bin frame was modified for a S5 car.

He also has hooked me up with a IAT sensor and the original sunroof crank tool for $20 shipped. He listed a couple parts I wanted on ebay, and is taking down those listings at my request so I can get them on payday since I'm a repeat customer.

I don't work for him, just giving feedback on an awesome guy to buy from, whom is often the first person I think of when I need parts.

I always go to Kevin's site first for parts. If he does not have it he will look 4 you, or just send U to a site he trusts. He built me such a beautiful engine, I plan to pre-mix ( 1 oz 2 stroke ) per gallon, & I bought an OMP block off plate from him. Kevin has always done right by me. His web site is full of good solid advice. There R not a lot of RX 7's in Western new York where I live, but when ever I get a chance to talk to an owner of one, I always tell them about rotary Resurrection. I have received some phone calls back, always say thanks......Mike
