i hit 140 +- 2 mph in my '98 mustang GT. dunno how much more i could have taken her, i wasnt payin attention to the tach, just glanced at the speedo b4 i let off, i was watching the road and holding on for dear life, damn thing was floatin all over the place!! by the way i did that tonight, never gonna do it again in a 'stang!!!!!

i do have a 7 by the way, just need to get a motor.

 

147mph in a 1993 325i bmw with an auto trans, but who knows if thats correct, ive heard seedos are really inacurate, Thats Redlyning

 

I was racing another FD RX-7 around here , and I got up to 145 and he probably was doing 157. in a 30MPH area!!!

 

new update on the top speed for me, originaly posted 140 i got it up to close to 150 now, just installed Race Pipe and new oil lines.

 

109mph in my 84 GSL before the engine went, god bless her.

sad side is i got busted doing that on the highway, cop walks over,

cop: sir, may i see your liscense and registration
me: whatever for officer?
cop: I clocked you at 175 km/h
me: holy crap really?
cop: I don't joke about things like that
me: anyway i could get off with a warning?
cop: your kidding right?

sigh. 280$ ticket, parents were angry (but later my dad told me that the first time he ever went that fast he got caught too) so i went out and bought a radar detector, then my engine went.

I saw 125 in a 1978 Ford Pinto. It didn't walk around on me or anything, but turning seemed a little out of the question...

 

280km/h was the fastest I dared to go. on 4th gear redline I was doing 240km/h.
I only have a HKS F-Con, a full free flow system, suspension on.
It was done on a Toronto highway.

 

I also did 205km/h going downhill in my 93 Accord EXR (auto) Stock with suspension and muffer. Did I mention a cop was flashing his lights behind me

 

*** 138 mph in a 90 GXL - however this car had a 12A tranny (don't ask) and 17'' rims, I do not beleive it could do that speed anyway. I redlined 4th and didn't get any speed out of 5th so back down to fourth. On this run I'll never forget I had threads sticking out of my rear tires.
*** 140 mph in a 88 TII - with bolt ons running 10 psi
Got up there very quick and had a lot more but I let off
*** 145 mph in a 94 FD - got to 140 pretty smooth slow but steady from there, ran out of road

Hmmmmm....... Maybe this is the reason I got 26 tickets and 2 reckless in 3 years of driving ( I haven't got any tickets in a few years)

 

175-170 mph in fd
