Exclamation What is Boost Creep???

I just finished the TII convertible conversion and I've been reading lots of posts on the forum that mention boost creep. My car has an FCD, Bonez DP, cat replacement pipe, and a cat-back. The car easily pushes 9 - 10 lbs of boost. Can someone educate me on what boost creep is? I'd rather make the car a little slower, and a little more reliable, than pull the motor again.

Thanks,

Mike

boost creep = boost goes higher than what you want it to be because the wastegate is too small.

Did you swap in a Series 4 or Series 5 Turbo/Motor. The Series 5 turbo (89-91) has a larger wastegate than the series 4, if you have a series 4 i suggest porting it if your worried about boost creep.
