turboII compression numbers

well today I had a fellow member help me do a compression test on a newly rebuilt engine with 414 miles on it and these numbers came out
front rotor 115
rear rotor 95

can anyone tell me what this all means. I was told 90 and below engine about to die. then again, its a newly rebuilt engine and the mech told me that it has not satin yet. can anyone tell me. I am concerned b/c there is a 20psi diffrence. thanks fellas

Are you certain 95 is what it was reading? Was the test done with the engine hot?

Run it for 500 more miles, keep the load and RPM down (don't boost it), then test it again and see if the numbers are higher. Typically compression numbers don't take 400 miles to get to normal (not that long for things to "seat") but I could be mistaken.

having low compression for the first 0~7~800ish miles is OK its not the fact that 95 is low thats a problem, its the disparity between the two rotors thats at issue. did one ofthe housings have really bad wear compared to the other housing?

I dont know. I was not there during the rebuild, This was a engine that came from a doner TurboII. I really need to see whats the deal. I have to pull the injectors b/c I am having a really bad shudder and the car wants to stall out between 1000 - 3000 rpms.
