thermal sensor
I have an 88 Rx SE non turbo. I need to get rid of the flooding problem.... Every time i try to start the thing in the winter its cold and wont start... A guy told me to disconnect the thermal sensor plug that tells the engine the coolant is cold and it floods the engine... I feel so dumb but what the hell can i do bout this prob???

Flooding is usually caused by leaky fuel injectors. There is a write-up in the 2nd Gen forum that tells how to rig up a device that will relief fuel system pressure when the car is off. Its a cheaper fix then buying new fuel injectors. I think it is in the 2nd Gen archive. If I find it, I'll post a link here.

I found a link to Mazdatrix.com where they have an article about foolding and a part used for relieving the fuel pressure the the fuel doesn't leak out of the injectors.
It cost $52, but if you search around the 2nd Gen forum, you may be able to find a cheaper, less technical temp fix for the problem. I know I've seen at least 2 write ups on how to do pretty much the same thing, relieve the fuel pressure so the injectors don't leak.

Also, you can download the Factory Service Manual (a.k.a., the FSM) online for free. It tells you how to check all the stuff under the hood. I'll get a link and post it here for you.
