T2 motor with n/a Trans?
As the title states, I have an S5 GTU and I'm picking up an s5 t2 motor. (Parts will be up for sale on Wednesday, ie. Turbo and exhaust manifold, Full intake manifold, TMIC, stock 550cc injectors.... PM me for prices and details. I will post these parts in the classifieds when I have them at my house and can take pictures.) But, anyway, will I be able to bolt my N/A S5 trans to the S5 T2 block? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Steve.

Thanks for the information. I thought that I could bolt n/a to t2 I just wanted to make sure. As far as plans for the car......only 10 psi. It should hold up for quite some time (I hope! HAHAHAH) The plan is to use an FD fuel pump, Rtek 1.7, 680cc primaries, 750 or 800cc secondaries. Then after all that's installed, do the fine tuning with my SAFC.

that is a FD manifold what you have there. You are gonna have fitment issues with the turbo hitting the S5 lower mani, you are going to need a spacer and longer studs in order to clear the manifold, the wastegate is gonna hit the frame at the bottom of the car(this maniflod has a flange for a 50mm wastegate and with the unit installed it will hit the lower frame),Also that looks like a decent size turbo and i think that GLE-SE injectors and 720 wont do it(maybe at crazy dangerous duty cycles)SAFC and Rteck 1.7 are not intended, recomended to run a full turbo upgrade(that is what are you doing here)because the dont have the flexibility that a full EMS has and that is what you need to run this setup in a safe way,NA tranny and rear end will hold for a while if you dont beat on the car,if you are hard on the car the rear end is gonna blow up first and then the tranny(na trannys can take some degree of abuse)Good luck with the project.

I'm thinking of the rtek and safc as a band aid for the time being until I can afford a real ems again. I sold my megasquirt when I sold my 280zxt. I probably should have kept it but never intended on doing anything to my fc. What cc injectors would you recommend for this? This is a to4s, btw. You are correct about the manifold and wastegate, I still haven't test fitted it though. I can cut and weld to reposition the wastegate so that it fits.

if you can weld SS cut the manifold runners and meassure the right angle where the turbo clears the lower intake manifold and weld it back together that way no need for spacers and the wastegate will clear the frame.Get at least 1000cc injectors for the secondaries and run the 720 primaries.

So is there anyway that the Rtek and SAFC combo will run 1000cc injectors at all? Like I said, not permanantly, but for a little while? I've never run Rtek before, I've read up on it pretty extensively though.

if you want RTEK go with 2.0 or above version in order to have a better control of the engine, the older versions only have some preset setings avaliable and not much control over them, you have some fuel adjustments and some timing pull above certain psi but not much at all
