Unhappy Stiff Clutch problems

so this morning I was driving my car, everything felt fine and sound good but 30mins. later my clutch got stuck when i lefted my foot off first gear and for a moment it wouldnt go in any gear. I sat their for bit trying to play with the clutch, it let's me in the gears now but my clutch feels stiff.
im guessing i need to get a new clutch.
any insight on what else might cause this problem and whats my price range if i do need a new clutch?
thank you and please

to me, it sounds like the throw out bearing.
you can get a whole decent new clutch set up for about 400.The throw out bearing is usually included in a clutch kit..Separately you are looking about 40-60 bucks for just the bearing.

The rule of thumb around my Driveway is: Do it Once!
If you gotta take the trans out,no sense in just changing the Small ****..go all the way.
Don't forget the Pilot bearing!.That 4 dollar thing can **** you off!

Check hydraulics first before pulling the trans.

four reasons it suddenly wont go into gear, only three have a stiff peddle

all of them are gearbox off to fix

1- spigot bearing seized onto input shaft , pedal is still normal

2- fork has cracked around the pivot dimple
the peddle drops unnaturally and is stiff at bottom of stroke and wont select gears when engine running

3- organic clutch lining has separated and split a section between two rivets , the broken section is now wedged between the friction disk and the pressure plate
clutch is very stiff from the top of the stroke and selecting gears can be very difficult

4- cushion button centre spring has been torn from the button and is trapped under the PP fingers and will not allow full depression of the clutch , clutch is very stiff, if not impossible to push to floor

ask me how i know

first off how do you know this???ahaha

but today i turned on my car to drive it to a shop and get it check and on my way there my clutch started working fine, i can't explain what happened but it did feel a little loose then before.
when i got there it went back to the old problem, clutch peddle would get stuck on when i push down and it wouln't let me in to any of my gears, i had to turn off my car put it in third than start it up like that to simply park the car.
im stuck, please help.
they said it must be my clutch cylinder and my clutch slave and also my shifter.

if peddle sinks to floor with less resistance and sometimes sticks there and you cant get a gear then issue is hydraulics in slave or master

if the clutch is harder to press down, and you cant get a gear, see my post above
