isnt there supposed to be 2 grounds in the engine harness that get bolted to the top of the engine??? i think i rmember seeing 2 last time i installed/removed an engine...but i can only find the one....but yeah, probably monday ill go throw and re-install the harness...maybe cut out some bullshit while im at it...lol

Please tell me that you have oil and coolant in the engine...
Starting the car with starter fluid indicates that the injectors are not working. Pull the plugs see if they are wet. Do you have fuel pressure? can you hear the pump running when you turn the key forward? Do you have the lines routed correct? supply and return aren't swapped right?
S4 just has a ground that bolts to the top of the rotor housing and the main battery ground at the trans bellhousing above the starter. Then there is a small gound that runs from the top of the bellhousing to the firewall on the P-side. Last ground is at the ECU to the floor.

yeah its got fluids and injectors are sprayin, i can smell the fuel!!i just used the starter fluid cause with the inconsistancy of the spark i wanted a little help to see if i can get her goin!!!
and is there a wire to ground the PFC to the floor or should it be mounted directly to the floor?? i mounted it on some rubber exhaust hanger bushings i cut up to absorb vibrations.....
if that is the problem please excuse me while i beat myself!!!!

No, the PFC does not have to be ground itself. The OEM harness has a ground.
Smelling fuel and assuming that your injectors are working, is lazy. That could be a fuel leak, or you could have an injector stuck wide open, which will stop your car from starting completly. You are the one that did the install of everything, so you are the one that needs to verify that everything is working.
If you want my help, you need to start answering every question I ask. If you can't be bothered to do the work and answer the questions then I can't be bother to help diagnose your problem. The next solution is load it on a trailer and take it to someone that knows what they are doing.
Again....

well if the injector is leaking then ill still have wet spark plugs...
but yeah, the pump runs i can hear it loud and clear. getting a solid 45psi not sure while cranking, cause like i aid im working alone, and yes the lines are correct, fuel in is to the front and fuel out is to the rear
again i was just using the starter fluid cause i saw the inconsistant sparking from the plug when i was testing i dont think i needed to use it.

ok i no its been awhile...havent really had a chance to work on her much, but today i was able to get her started after replacing the primary coil pack and igniter....had her running for prolly about 5 min then she died...she ran pretty rough too, so after that i hooked up the dataloit to my laptop and was gunna plug in some settings from a base tune i had for a street ported motor to see if that would help out. well i couldnt find the map so i just left it alone, reset timing at the CAS for the thousanth time and tried to start it again...now again i have no spark.....what am i doing wrong? first thing i think is ill never touch the ******* power FC again!!! other than that i have no idea.....

o, i did initialize the PFC and reinstall the map as well....and before starting it (when it started) disabled the O2 sensor f/b (i have no O2 sensor at the moment...installed anyway, i have a wideband sitting in the pass seat)...forgot to go back and disable that again....would that cause these problems or is there still something else lurking the shadows????

Hi!
After a rebuil i had the same problem!
With the original ECU i had the spark was firering but with the pfc i had no spark fire!
So i checked everything and after 2 days i only did a additional grounding from housing to the chassie!
And i couldnt beleve!!!
The car starts without problems!
So the only reason was that you need more grounding when you are using the PFC!
Hope i could help some others here in this forum who also have this problem!
By the way i used a 35mm˛ additional grounding!
