I got a 87 Rx7 non turbo.

When i start up the car after i haven't run it for a while it shoots out smoke like a fog machine. Any idea what this could be?

Most probably is some oil build up (bad oil injector) from the injection system. The engine injects oil as a normal part of operation and almost every rotary engine will smoke a lil during start up.

Angry smoking 1st generation

I have a 79 rx7 that I cant drive because it smokes like a train and wont charge. It has good power at rpm and the smoking subsides mostly when its warmed up but it will PLUME when I rev it high or decelerate. It seems like oil smoke to me, the car drinks oil. It sat in a barn for a few years. I tuned it up but it backfires sometimes. The carburetor need work but I dont know where to start. Any advice? I changed the oil and put valv. 20w50 in it.
