Exclamation Mazda needs a new small car!

In these times of insane oil prices and a declining world economy, now is the time for Mazda to strike back.

American companies are dropping big yank tanks (finally). Not that they could sell **** for cars anyway!

After all the thread reading and speculation...this is what I believe (as a 20yr. rotor driver)
Mazda NEEDS to make another small performance car. Some have heard of Rx3 type cars being made again, and that is what they need to make some serious advances in motoring and the company.

Imagine...an Rx3 type, available in Coupe or Sedan, with a 16X (or whatever they're gunna call it), direct injection to kill emissions, and a bit more power. That will definately give Mazda a huge jump in the under $30K market. A small car with 225-250hp non-turbo powerplant will be a winner. Sure, everyone and their mom is going turbo these days...VW, Audi, Subaru, now BMW....but with boost, comes gas gulping, since most of you know boost can be addictive. If Mazda can make 22-25 mpg in the city....they can start some rotary spanking again....its been far too long.
