Rough idling question!

I recently bought a 1992 rx7 efini twin turbo and idles fine at first..but after 30 minutes of driving it has a rough idle when parked.
I filled it up with plus gas... should I use premium fuel?
And should a replace my injectors?
Thanks!

Something heats up and doesnt work properly when hot. Could be a coil problem

obviously you should use the best gas you can buy unless you like blowing **** up and then paying 3,000$ for it to be fixed a lot.

first thing i would do is check your TPS voltage. search the forum for that.

second thing i would do is check that all your hoses are still attached. I have had hoses on the little pressure chamber thing pop off while revving hard.

third i would change the spark plugs, and if you still have problems then the injectors.

fourth make sure your air filter (or filters) doesn't have crap in it

I filled up with premium gas, put in some octane booster, all my hoses are attatched, and I put in some injector cleaner. The idling has gotten twice as better, I think its just my spark plugs
But thanx!

do you guys normally put in octane booster with fill ups? or that sea foam stuff? i don't, but my friend raves about how much better sea foam will be if you put it in your gas tank.

seafoam is a carbon cleaner, you can put it in your tank and it will clean the pump, lines, and inside the injectors.. I actually just run it thru the pcv hose, feeding to all the runners. Youll have to have someone keep the car running or control the throttle linkage by hand but let it suck in the required amount, let it sit for 5 min, then start it... It will smoke like crazy but will clear after awhile.. Cleans the hell out of the internals, all carbon build up etc get burnt up and out the exhaust.

I get it at Advance Auto. Probably at Auto Zones and Pep Boys too. Any local auto parts place should have it.
