My RE starter in my 2nd gen conversion is starting to go. Is the REW starter a replacement part for the RE one?

HOw hard is it to rebuilt a RE starter?

What trans do you have? The RE was an automatic so I doubt that you are running an RE starter. It is most likely just a TII starter you can buy at any auto parts store.

I put a 13B RE into an 88 10AE. The tranny is the original 5spd S4. The starter sure looked a lot different than the original TII. What the hell do I know? I just throw money at mechanics and drive fast.

 

Chuck, the starter on your car is just a TII starter, not anything specific the the RE.
