overheating only when driving

Well lads my fd only overheats when driving if i stop up it will go back to normal temp..when i check water level next day i have to top up.. this is my second rebuild in a few months sick of it now.. i done a champagne test and its the very same as this vid i found on youtube


i know im in trouble with it just cant understand why it doesnt overheat on idle

Hate to say it bud but with that much air in your system Id have to say your coolant seals are gone. Mines been acting up the same way, but theres not any air bubbles in my coolant, and that I think is the lack of an undertray on my FC, so air is bypassing the rad at speed.

Sickens me to think just after braking it in.. still under warranty do he wont be happy tomorrow when i ring him..this will be his 3rd build on this car in a year i wont be keeping it this time do

Is he reusing irons or housings on the rebuilds? There may be pitting in the seal area or parts may be warped.

ya i had to change housings because they were warped havnt been near the car in the last two months started it up today and now i notice there water under the drive belt pulley cant figure where its coming from ..theres no leaks from water pump housing

Why is you coolant orange?? Seems you have alot of corrosion going on flush that out... Might be whats eating your seals... looks very corrosive.
