what should oil pressure be at idle? i went on alldata and they gave me its 65-72 normal but didnt specify if at idle or 3000 rpm.

if u have ~60 psi at idle run away from yur car

idle ( ~1000 rpm) ... shouldbe ~ 10-30 psi depending on oil temperature and viscosity rating

 

I'm not at home now but u can check in the FSM. Download it and READ it. But like was said, at idle it should be below 30

i do have under thirty psi of pressure at idle and increases with rpms! i just wasn't sure mainly because on my rx8 it doesn't have numerals on the oil pres. gauge :\ . Also alldata did not state whether its was idle or anything it just said 65-72 normal...i have not done a oil change since i have had the car but it has not been driven so im going to put what manufacture wants when it come around to do it...
