Hi,

If ever there's already a thread on this, I'm sorry but I could not find it.

I have a JDM 1992 FD and although the car runs great and pulls strong, there seems to be an issue with my oil pressure.

On iddle the gauge barely goes up and when driving the gauge will not exceed 2 out of 8 regardless of the speed and or motor revolution...

I'm guessing that it could only be 2 things. Oil pump has to be replaced or there is something wrong wth my oil pressure gauge and or sensor.

There is also a minor motor oil leak under the car... Could it be from the oil pressure switch?

Any suggestions on how I could troubleshoot this problem myself?

its very common with the first gen FD that the sensor is faulty.

cleal it / replace it and should work,

easiest way to find out and have a nice reliable gauge is to get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.
