Need opinions on borderline useable housing

First image shows part of the bolt passage has corroded away, and there's about 1mm between the corrosion and the water jacket seal groove. The corrosion here is not very "deep" in towards the combustion chamber.

Second image shows a smaller patch, but it has dug in deeper towards the combustion chamber. It's very hard to tell how deep it is, but I estimate that the deepest point is roughly in line with the center of the groove.

My questions are:
- Should I run this as is (given that I am on a pretty tight budget at this point)?
- Should I fill either of these with JB weld? Is the difference in thermal expansion a concern there? Is coolant a concern?
- Will this corrosion get worse?

i would put a little something on that picture number 2, silicon would work. pic number one is kind of crazy, but it doesn't look like a place that matters much

What would silicone do? I feel like it would only insulate the area from the coolant.

I've used rotor housings that actually corroded to the seal groove.

I used homemade coolant seals glopped with Right Stuff. It lived a couple years (maybe 30-40k miles) and then the compression started to go away.
