I'm rebuilding my FD motor and want to make sure that the oil metering bungs aren't bunged-up. How can I ensure that they're flowing properly before reassembly?

After a bit of searching I found an article on the '99 FD motor that indicated that earlier motors (i.e. mine) have a 2mm port, but how do I make sure that oil's going to flow in properly through the brass fitting?
