Need help with sensor...

My 7 starts and then dies like in 10 sec. but i don't have my air box with the MAF sensor on will that make it shut off or will it be somethin else??? and if it is the MAF sensor anyone got one that i can buy??? thanks everyone!!!

it will not run without it, yes thats why its dieing

SO i was also wondering can i put any maf sensor on my car either from 86-91 n/a rx-7???
or does it have to my year???
