starting problems.

ok i reasently bought a 87 turbo II. since i owned it when iam starting it the boost gauge allways stayed down on the -20 and its has started fine. i just got done running it. let it sit for a couple of minutes. it was in running temp. i went to start it again and it wont start. also the boost gauge read -10 in stead of -20. i thought my preasure sensor might be going bad. so if the sensor is messed up could that cause the problem?? if not then wat should i check??
