Mazda Mixup - Coolant O-Rings too small!
I recently ordered an engine gasket set from Mazda, and the outer coolant O-Rings were too small! The rest of the set was correct, including the inner O-Rings. I re-ordered, and the same thing is wrong with the new set. Has this happened to anyone else? I am on the east coast, so the warehouse may be different than west coast. I really need to correct O-Rings QUICKLY, and I am starting to get very frustrated. I have worked on enough of these to know they are completely WRONG. Perhaps they are outers from a 12A that Mazda is wrongly placing in the set.
Take a look at the picture -- you would have to GLUE them in place to get them to work!

as mentioned ,the 12a and 13b water seals are all the same,so they didnt give you the wrong seal.
the seal in your picture is correct, you just have to stretch it a bit and use plenty of vaseline to hold it in place.
ive done plenty of them and they were all like that, they look like they are small but there not...thats how they are.
just stretch it along the lines of the housing squashing it in with the vaseline.

In the image above, the O-Ring was stretched to the point it was going to break! I received a new batch from Mazda today, and they are perfect. I have done enough engines to know the others are wrong! Anyways, there is a bad batch out there, so watch out for them!
