WHere does the filler neck water level sit ?

On the 3rd gen where does the water stabilized @?
I fill it up to the top everydat abd it seems to go down..How far is it going down and when should it stop ?

I recently had a problem with the filler cap that when ever I checked it after flushing the rad. the coolant drop an inch at time would go past the sensor, so I replaced the cap a now it stays solid at the top

check it after driving it hard in the city.. Cause mine goes downa dn i replaced the ast and the caps.. same ****.. same level.. About 1 " from the top...

The other thing that I do is I dont touch it at all until it is completely cool otherwise it does go down almost as if it sucks the coolant that it displaces is the over flow back into the resivor but if I open the cap before it looses its vacum and drops down ???
