IVE BEEN HAVING IDLE PROBLEMS AND LAST NITE AFTER RACING A CIVIC [I WON!] W/MY STOCK GSL-SE I GOT HOME TO FIND MY EXAUST MANIFOLD GLOWING! I GOT UP TO 120MPH !![GIGGLE GIGGLE] ANYWAY,I THINK IM RUNNING TO RITCH OR TO POOR,I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT!!!!!would some one please HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

if your timing is too far retarded, your manifold will glow. could be a sign of low compression too.


does it glow only when you stomp on it, or under light / medium loads too?

And you dont retard by moving the dist by a tooth. Just loosten the 10mm nut and slid the dist ccw.

BUT I dont think that is your problem, I truly think it is the cat!

I stabbed my dist wrong by one tooth and it got the manifold melting red hot! Pulled and restabbed it and set the timing to get it back nomal temps.
Scared the heck out me!!!!

sounds like it could be a plugged cat to me too. Get yourself a RB full exhaust. I just got one. Looks sweet, sounds sweet. breathes sweet.
