I just bought my 1990 rx7 , automatic yesterday.
it drive fine ... but this morning when i want to drive it..

the tranny seems to have some problem.
My dash have a light saids "HOLD" ..

and when i put it on "DRIVE"
my car just wont move.. when i try to step on the gas.. my wont will just rev..

it seems like my car is not going into gears...
please help !!!
what should i do ! i just bought it a day ago..

My friend told me .. my tranny might be slipping.. if worst comes to worst.. how much a new tranny would be ?? including labor ?

 

i dont think its a trans problem sounds electrica maybe something as sinmple as a nuetral safety switch i do not think it is a mechanical problem try putting it into each gear see if there is any grinding if not it is more than likely electrical not your tranny slipping

I tried to put on each gear.. i dont hear any grinding sound.

but sometimes the car will run.. sometimes it wont tho..

how can i check what problem it is.. ?
