Help~ Uncommon Motor Swap

Im thinking of swapping in a F20C (Honda S2000 Motor) i can get the motor/tranny/ecu/cluster complete... ive spoken to a friend of mine and he said all id need to do would be to weld new mount brackets and custom fab a drivetrain...

My question is this~ What extra work would it take to do the swap in an Auto VS a 5spd?

I still havent found the shell so thats why im asking... My buddy says "just buy a 5spd and dont worry about it" but i want to worry =)

Any help would be awesome...

And please dont flame on pulling the rotory out, im building a daily driver weekend drifter and want a platform with a little less headaches//maintenance and i believe the FC3S chassis is the right one for me.

use a t2 diff and axles.
bastardise the s2k and t2 driveshafts and have it built to the proper length.
fab the motor and tranny mounts
radiator hoses, etc...all the usual stuff
then do all the wiring stuff and you're good to go.

it'd be better to start with a 5-lug fc though. better brakes and all that. a t2 shell would be the best.

auto??

good luck making that auto tranny work- the s2k never came with an auto if im not mistaken, so you will have to find a tranny, have a custom torque converter and adapter plate made, then figure out a way for the ecu to control the tranny......

^ he's probably using the whole s2k running gear, swapped into a chassis that was originally automatic.

I remember seeing a pics white FC with an F20C swapped in. Maybe search a bit and get in touch with whoever did that swap.

seriously, use a chassis that has the 5-lug stuff and was standard to begin with. swapping all that **** out is a bitch!
