Greddy Elbow
So the Greddy elbow for the fd looks pretty cool, but since the stock elbow has that decent sized hose coming out the top of it, and the Greddy elbow doesnt, if i put the elbow on and just plug that hole on the other end, What effects will this have on my car? and better yet, whats this line for? Enlighten me please.

I believe the hose on the stock elbow(near the TB, right?) is for the AWS, which is something most FD owners get rid of anyway.
Also, the Greddy elbow is considerably shorter than the stock elbow, so if you do go that route make sure you get an IC pipe kit that reaches. If you're running the stock IC you'd probably want to just get the Greddy stock hard pipe kit.

hmm..
apparantly my AWS isnt working correctly anyway, the light is constantly on. I do have a Stock Mount Aftermarket intercooler, and i have the greddy pipe kit that goes along with the elbow. So i should be good?

I don't believe there is any AWS light. You're probably thinking of the ABS light. AWS is Accelerated Warmup System or Accelerated Warming Startup, or something like that. AWS causes your car to idle at 3,000 RPMs when you first start it.
Other than that, if you have the longer pipe to fit the Greddy elbow, then you should be fine. It's an important mod, but it's not a very major mod.

so is the greddy elbow worth the extra 100 dollars if your still running the twins? it sounds to me the stock plastic elbow works and hold up fine just isnt shiney like the greddy.

it improves the airflow into the throttlebody giving less restriction. Its also not plastic which may crack. When Upgrading to an aftermarket intercooler this is basicaly a step everyone decides to take. I went ahead and did the change to mine. It looks great!! the only downside is removing your AWS.
