got an odd question
well within the next week or so a persopn i meet is giving me a 86 supera with a 5 speed , the reason for it is white smoke out of the exhaust ( she said she had the head gasket repaced by the dealer) but any way i suspect even a cracked block at the worst but my friend have a stripped down 86 rx7 with everything for it except the auto tranny that came with it
u guys thing its possable to comvert the supera to a rotery using the wireing harness, and computer and engine from the rx7?

1) Yes, why wouldn't it be?
2) Be ready for the worst headaches you will ever have.
3) Unless you own your own shop, why are you even considering this...
You're looking at an enormous amount of fabricating parts, ect ect. Its ALOT more work than just "dropping the 13b in the supra". Those 6 words can easily end up costing you (physicaly, monetarily, emotionaly...ect).
What do you get out of it?
A beat up supra with a rotary engine? Granted a supra is kinda cool with a rotary... but a supra isn't THAT bad with its decent engine.
Then again the 86 supra.. meh.

yea the supra is way to heavy for the low torque 13b. i would find a tranny for the rx7 if i were you. or liek flamin said. sell both cars and and get another. obviously you should get another rx7.

also I was talking to my friends dad the other night he is a master mechanic at toyota and he said that those old supra engines would leak oil like crazy! You could put new gaskets on and like 20 or 30k miles later you have a leaky engine again. probably just a gasket

i had the crazy idea b/c my friend bought 2 gen 2's and stripped the one down for parts for the other one b/c i looked at the body and i know its scrwed it shoudl be totaled, but any way the girl i was talknig to might be giving me the supera ya grant it its not the best out there but its betternthan my 86 442 or my 89 accord HB well she said it smokes white and i know thats coolant but she said she had the head gasket done allready but the car does have 130k on it
jsut trying a crazy idea i thought that at most the worst problems id have are the motor mounts and getting the tranny to mate with teh 13b engine
