got alternator pulley nut off.....pulley still doesn't want to come off...any ideas?

Installing a Greddy pulley kit and have everything off except one thing. I got the alternator pulley nut off with my air impact tool, that was no problem. But now I can't get the pulley off, is it supposed to just slip off? It looks like there is some white sealant type material on the threads. Has anyone else had this problem or is the pulley supposed to screw off as well? It's on there super tight and isnt budging.
