Gah! white-gray smoke
I just bought my 93' RX!!!!!!!!!
only problem is that when I maintain rpms @ 4100-4500 I get a TON of smoke... I don't get any smoke during acceleration, even going through the range, tho...
so basically, me at 4100-4500 =
I've ordered all new silicon hoses to install and I'm going to replace the pcv.. but it's kinda freaking me out.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Eric

same happend to my 87, it happends out of some reasons, one if the car has been sitting around for a while (depending on the condition the oil seals are), oil leaks through the seals into the camber so when it gets hot enough all that oil burns, other reasons, idk but this has happend to me so heres a tip, to avoid smoke make sure the cars idling well and check on the oil level once ina while, have and extra or two quarts of oil in the car just in case and if ud likethen do this (repost if this doesnt work) im sure u properly start you car by letting it idle b4 moving it and letting it idle b4 shutting it off, when u drive let the car warm up b4 revving it to high, drive around for a good 10 minutes play with the car but keep the rpms low then lil by lil just rev it higher then the car shouldnt smoke after that...or that much at first, keep doing it then ull adapt to letting the car warm up enough to the point theres not much oil to burn, thats what i did, and for the past 2 weeks i havent smoked unless i start the car and redline it, but yea keep it real let me know whats up, im just learning about rotarys but this is advise that i use all the time.......and yes i type alot when im tired....sorry.

haha, thanks for the quick reply! I'll try that. Yeah, in the mornings I basically start it up and go back in the house and grab breakfast. then I basically let it idle for 2 or 3 songs when I'm getting ready to turn it off.... 3 mins a song, I figured that was long enough.
