flooding problem!!!!
well i want to know why the rx7 floods. mine has been doing it pretty often and i have just gotten tired of unflooding it. if any one knows please let me know what i can do to solve this problem. i have came up with the conclusion that it may have leaking injectors and thats the reason why it floods but i dont know, can anyone confirm this conclusion?

FCs flood because of a glitch in the ECU's programming. Starting the vehicle, and then not allowing it to reach operating temperature prior to shutdown, causes the computer to dump fuel into the engine, resulting in the massive flood.
Stop short-starting your car or replace the EMS.

From what I've heard, the $450 Rtec7 2.0 fixes the short-start flooding issue. It's only natural to assume that completely replacing the passenger's footrest will also fix the issue.

Get your injectors serviced, they are most likely leaking.
Another possibility would be coolant leaking into the combustion "chambers" after shutdown. Are you seeing any signs of coolant loss?
A backyard method of dealing with this, as opposed to fixing it, is to install a switch for the fuel pump (as mentioned above). Then, before you shut the car down, you kill the fuel pump to drain the fuel lines. Since there is no fuel in the lines at that point, it won't matter if the injectors leak.
Good luck.
