Think I gotta CAS problem
I was reading a couple of the tech posts on flooding and I have a question.
How do you know if your car is flooded?
Now, onto the CAS...
My car is turning over fine, the ignitor packs and plugs are good. The blind cap was missing, though, and the inside of the CAS is definately dirty... plus... the CAS bolt was loose, allowing the CAS to turn freely. I was able to tell where it had been set previously (probably the last 14 years!) so I moved it to that position.
I read through the FSM on setting the timing but it was a bit confusing. I got as far as alinging the pin to the yellow (advance) mark, but I wasn't sure how to adjust the timing using the CAS.
The previous owner said he knew how to fix it, but he just kept turning the engine over and pumping the gas. I stopped him fairly quickly, but I think the damage might have been done there, too.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Peace

Thanks for the direction. We got it unflooded but it was still running really rough. Checking the timing we discovered that the Leading Ignitor Pack was bad.
