First engine teardown & rebuild?
i started to teardown this s4 Tii block. got it from a goood friend of mine (tofuball).
engine rotated by hand but rear rotor sounded a little low compared to front on compression.
UNKOWN MILEAGE & CONIDITION OF MOTOR PRIOR TO DISASSEMBLY
as i was tearing the motor down i notice the housings were black. (possible overheat condition?)
I also notice like blueish spots or hues on the intake plate
REAR IRON
DEEP GROOVE ON REAR HOUSING?
MORE REAR ROTOR HOUSING PICS
Rear Rotor Bearing HAS BLUE SPOTS AND SCRATCHES
ESHAFT WHERE BEARING RODE ON
I should be conituing the breakdown tomorrow with more pics to come.

Yep, it's been too hot. Also looks like the oil was too hot and not changed often enough. I would pass on that housing, bearings need replaced and the e-shaft is questionable. Make sure you spec the irons for warpage. If the other housing isn't grooved, it may be reuseabe.
