Few pre-mix ?'s

I've searched and read a lot about using 2-stroke oil in the gas tank. This brought up a few questions.

First, it is recommended that you use a ratio of 100/1 fuel to oil mix. So some suggest mixtures of roughtly 1oz. of oil to 1 gallon of fuel. So are those that put an oz. of oil in the gas tank per gallon still using the stock omp setup? I know some are disabling their omp setups all together and only running premix. If my omp setup is still operating, would it still be the same recommended mixture?

Also, would any problems occur if I use de-natured alcohol as an octane booster? I doubt it, but just want to make sure there won't be any chemical reactions or anything with the mixture.

if your omp is still in operation you would not need 100:1
