Facing criticism and "recommendations", need a second opinion!

Gonna get the meat and potato's right out of the way. I just started school at a technical collage, driving my rx7 fc Turbo II swap w/ stock turbo, stock internals, 750cc injectors, walboro 255lph fuel pump, racing beat exhaust, microtech LT9C ecu.
I am going to school so i can get my certification's, I know enough about rotaries to swap mine and keep it alive and well, but im a little hazy with everything else.
Here's the issue: recently I had a problem with my car (since been fixed) and I got some critiques from the second year students that didnt match up with what i've know for years and just want to ask the community how you respond to people who may not know any better?
Here are some of the quotes and my following responses:

"750cc injectors are way too large for your engine, you should get 400cc or lower"

I talked to them about how the stock TII takes 550cc injectors and they went wide eye on me like they couldn't believe it. My reasoning behind my choice of injectors was initially I had a RTEK ecu, which required a minimum of 720cc injectors (or somewhere around there). I kept them when i swapped to a microtech because I didn't want to stress them to the point where im looking for new once should i want to add more power to the car.

"12lbs max for the stock turbo? you should be able to run 20lbs!"

I sifted through the rx7 forums to get this. I talked to them about how, realistically, you shouldn't go over 12lbs of boost with the stock turbo and intercooler or you may risk detonation. again, didn't seem to believe me.

"only 11 AFR? your car is running on hopes and dreams! 14-15 is where you want to be!"

again, going to research I did on the forums I had the car tuned per peoples recommendations and by a specialist (Shout out Kilo Racing )

"Your exhaust looks very restrictive. you should get a better one"

I have no doubt there are better exhaust setups for the rx7 other than what racing beat provides, but never have I heard anyone say the RB exhaust is "restrictive", especially for street use. I will say however, i am the second owner of this exhaust and the 1st owner decided to straight pipe the pre-silencer. Not sure if that makes a difference but i would be curious to know!

I have no doubt there will be more of this tomorrow, but I am curious how some people deal with the potential know-it-alls? Or am I secretly wrong on everything!?!?! I like getting second opinion's so I wanted to ask and see what people with experience think! I know there is plenty of misinformation surrounding how to "properly take care of a rotary" so i thought i'd post it! Ill give out some pictures once this thread goes up!

IMO it is by far not the cleanest setup, but for me it works
these are some older pics but the changes are minimal. the lower once is what the engine bay looks like now:

will gladly take any recommendations on what to do next

I would stop taking advice from kids in school who don't understand rotaries. That's not even a topic of conversation I'd entertain.

If they keep injecting their opinion I'd just smile, say "that's nice," then move the conversation on. You don't owe them explanations on how your car works.

Claiming superior knowledge based on being second year vs first year students is not only a logical fallacy (appeal to authority) but it's unearned since they have no credentials of their own to reference.

They are ignorant about rotaries and dont seem like they have any desire to learn from you.

let me just say what everybody is tiptoeing around; they’re a bunch of bright green grasshoppers who don’t know their sphincter from a hole in the ground.

They think they’re smart, but don’t understand the difference between that and being wise; the dumb man never learns from his mistakes, the smart man eventually learns from his mistakes, the wise man learns from other people’s mistakes.

To your credit you had the sense to do some research and then also come ask for help from people you thought might be experienced and knowledgable on the subject. You’re already miles ahead of them. Just keep it up and you’ll do well in life. I’ll be rooting for you!

Lots of myths. Like when people see my FD and are suprised the tach does not go to 13.000 since "FDs can rev over 10k erryday".

Thank you for the words of encouragement
I just wanted to make sure I was treating her properly. So as my set up is now, is it ok? what modifications should i do to it to either increase reliability or power?

I think you're spot on with what's been said bud, a lot of the recommendations aren't wrong if you apply them to a piston engine mentality.

But as you're already aware, a Rotary Engine is completely different for what it's happy with.

My advice isn't to tell them they're wrong, but also teach them the difference. You can always say thing like "Yes, you're right that 750cc injectors are quite large for a 1.3L piston engine, but the Rotary Engine"... and so on, like you're already doing. If they're just not wanting or willing to believe you and learn from you, it's honestly their loss.

It's a nice, clean FC you've got there and you're treating it right. Especially because you're willing to read, seek advice from this great community and, most importantly, learn👍

(and if you want to have some fun, ask them their thoughts on what camshaft you should get as an upgrade )
