fuel injectors...
I know nothing about fuel injectors! So treat me like a newb and please dont abreviate. I'm looking to upgrade my stock injectors tho on my 1990 tII. Im not sure which size i should get or which company to buy them from? I dont know what the downside is if you got too big/small injectors... please try to explain to me.
thanks
BTW: I've got complete racing beat exhaust, K&N cone filter, Racing beat F.C.D, t3/t4 turbo. In the near future I plan on getting a walbro 255lhp fuel pump, FMIC and port my stock wastegate.
thanks

i'm disrespectful to dirt
you're going to want to get the walbro before the injectors. and looking at your mods, i'd get one soon. when you do get bigger injectors, you're going to need something to control them.

I think you should port your WG right away. Your RB exhaust will have you boost creeping for days on end. You won't need to do injectors until you up the boost on the stock turbo or get that t3/t4.
And for most moderate hp projects (up to about 300hp) 4 x 720's will handle it.

With the setup you have now, you better keep an eye on your boost gauge (I hope you have a real boost gauge)and watch for boost creep. That set up is sure to run lean if you haven't done anything to your fuel system.
I'm telling you this because I've ran that set up years ago and so have others, and very naive about turbocharging. If you run larger injectors, you need something to tune it. You cannot just slap on larger injectors and be ok. A moderate 720cc in the secondaries and a larger fuel pump will be ok and the Apexi AFC tunes it fine. Dyno runs and tuning proved that. A full exhaust and open filter will creep to 13-15 psi on certain days. You need to be very careful. The small stock intercooler and small wastegate generates so much heat that running high boost will certainly cause detonation.
A full exhaust, open filter and FCD is a recipe for a bad day to come.

Get a Walbro255lph ($100), re-wire the fuel pump (free..almost), clean up your grounds (free..important),
change fuel filter ($15), Apexi AFC ( about $200 or so) and dyno time (about $100).
If you have time to drop the downpipe and turbo, port the hell out of the wastegate. Now it's about the size where you could barely stick your pinky finger. After I ported mine, a thumb goes in with ease and it solved a lot of the boost creep problems. Not gone, but helped a lot.

A pair of larger secondaries and larger fuel pump will keep you safe. You'll run rich when the secondaries without a fuel controller.

If you do upgrade the injectors, you'll need a fuel controller to tune them or you'll be running too rich. You should actually get the fuel controller first, because the factory mixtures are already very rich.
