Engine Prelube kits

Engine Prelube kits
I assume in order to build oil pressure the eccentric shaft has to make a few revolution dry.
I prelube kit is a small pressurized reservoir that prelubes the engine during start up & and when proper oil pressure is achieved the extra oil is pushed back into the reservoir .
I know a lot of people use these for piston engines, can they also be used for rotary Engines?
If not is there some type of Engine prelube kit specifically meant for rotary engines that differ from the preexisting products?
I think this could save a lot of wear and tear on engine start up trauma.
Just a thought...
Thanks.

Good idea, but what wear and tear? Dig through any blown engine post you can find - I can about guarantee you you'll not see someone whose engine failed due to a bearing problem.
Bearing issues mainly come into play with extended high RPM use (like on a racetrack) or with higher redlines. In both cases, the preluber won't do a whole lot, just add a point of failure.

What you are looking for is called an Accusump. They are good for exactly what you are looking for and they can help an oil system a little by holding a charge of oil. If your pump sucks air and loses pressure sometime the accusump will squirt oil into the oil system and can save your engine.
