Dumb question: Wideband O2?
Ok, just a random question....
What exactly is a wideband O2 sensor? I'm assuming that it's an oxygen sensor that is either more sensative, and has a wider range than a normal one..
Part two. How exactly is this useful? I know lots of people use them to tune in their new computers, but I'm just not quite sure how they work, and I was looking for an explaination. Thanks for supporting my curiosity.

Because a narrow band 02 sensor is grossly inaccurate at anything other than stoic i.e. 400mv reading.
Got my wideband from Techedge at http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/wbo2.htm Friday. Still need to get off my butt and buy the sensor this week.

JEFF48.... I got one from the local NAPA dealer. Cost 145 bucks. At least I didn't have to wait for the mailman. Works fine. Its the one listed by the EDGETECH site http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/wbo2.htm I went to the NAPA online site and they have on that site a map showing you the nearest dealer to your house.
EDIT: Here, try this url http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/default.htm then click on NAPA, and you should get their home site which if you play with it will show the nearest local dealer that has one.
