Counterweights-what's the difference?

Can anyone tell me the difference between these two counterweights? And which you would use with an aftermarket, lightweight flyweel. (93 5sp)
Thanks

The ones that I would suspect you would want to use is the center one (The right one on the last picture). That one looks like the one that I got with my XACT ProLite flywheel.

But I could be wrong, I'm only going by looks.

Yeah I think you're right. I haven't seen any pictures of flywheels with the smaller weight attatched. Figures someone sold me the smaller one on the left for a 93> flywheel.
Anybody else know for sure? Or what the smaller flywheel is even for?

Your engine has 2 counterweights in it, one at the back (flywheel) and one at the front of the engine. The smaller one goes at the front and the one with 6 holes is for flywheel. You have to make sure the front and rear are a matching pair and that its the correct weight pair for your year model 13b. Do a search and you'll find part number - year model references.

Oh ok. That sounds somewhat logical. Where, on the front of the engine does the smaller one go?

Inside the front timing cover stack, just behind the drive gear and chain for the oil pump. If the counterweights are correct for your engine then the front weights will be the same and no need to change it.

yeah
if you have to change the front counterweight to a different weight one too, you have to change the rotors to match that
