If you have used a standard piston type and know about that one.... then check out my page on my rotary one...

You should be able to figure it out I got mine from a rotary recycling place online.

You can not do a "real" test with a piston one, but you can sometimes get a ballpark idea by holding the relief valve open or removing it from the piston engine model and watching for even bounces of the needle

get a simple compression tester

remove the schroeder valve.

remove bottom sparkplugs from a warm engine.

pull the fuel pump fuse (in the fuse box near the drivers left foot.) yellow 20 A.

pull plug wires

floor throttle

crank engine

videotape compression gauge close up

play video back on tv and record each power impulse.

cross your fingers.
